PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Fairway was selected to custom fabricate the balcony railings, the mesh grilles in first-level brickwork, and ornamental roof supports, executing the finishing touches to the award-winning Riverworks community, combining contemporary flare with historical reflection.

THE PROPERTY

Riverworks is a 349-unit, luxury living community in Phoenixville, PA, is nestled between the French Creek and the Schuylkill River and stands on the site of a historic steel mill.

THE GOAL

The architect’s design intent for the new community was to deliver to the developer an attractive combination of luxurious, contemporary living spaces fused with a small-town appreciation for the historic steel mills that once made for a bustling community.

BartonPartners Architects hand-picked Fairway because we deliver safe and architecturally sound railings and bring a host of creative ideas and solutions to the project planning phase, offering the unique ability to carry through the architect’s precise design intent. In the case of Riverworks, two distinct design objectives had to be met:

The Contemporary Elements
The Historical Element

Following an intricate template, we created the black aluminum, water jetted roof supports. When fashioned into place, the supports look as though steel is holding up the roof.

Black aluminum balcony railings with mesh infill played up the clean, square, modern look and matched the apartment’s contemporary vibe. That same element was carried down to the first-level garage to make appealing grille covers for the openings in the brickwork.
